The storybook town of Limburg an der Lahn in Hesse enjoys serenading its residents with melodies played by its town hall glockenspiel - an instrument made up of chimes, also called a carillon.
The tunes included the classic 19th century children’s song Fuchs, Du hast die Gans gestohlen - “Fox, you stole the Goose”. That is, it included the folk tune until a vegan woman complained.
The song describes a mischievous fox who steals a goose, and the singer warns the bushy-tailed creature that the hunter will now likely kill him.
Town spokesman Johannes Laubach said on Thursday that the tune reminded the woman of the song's lyrics, which tell the fox: “the hunter will get you with his gun”.Настал черед детских песенок. Сказкам и мифам народов мира приготовиться.

More than twice as many minors as expected have expressed a desire to change their gender this year.
Since January, the Sexology Clinic in Copenhagen has offered hormone treatment to minors who feel like they were born in the wrong body.
The clinic anticipated that around 50 minors would take advantage of opportunity to change their gender, but that number was surpassed in just six months and the annual estimate was increased to 130, news agency Ritzau reported on Wednesday.
According to a report in Jyllands-Posten, it’s not just in Denmark that more and more minors are choosing to change their gender. In Sweden, just four children sought gender treatment at a Stockholm children’s hospital in 2012. This year, the number is expected to be around 200. In the UK, the number of children referred to the gender clinic The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust grew from 97 in 2009/10 to 1,419 in 2015/16.

"Firstly because Paris is trying to promote gender equality in the street names, and because women have been greatly overlooked for too long."
"But the choice of Steve Jobs is even worse considering the reality of his legacy."
The group then listed a host of their issues with Jobs and Apple, from the conditions for factory workers in China, their "inadequate wages", and the company's "illegal tax optimization practices".

A group of teens in the northern German city of Hamburg were handed suspended sentences despite video evidence of their crimes. The presiding judge said the perpetrators appeared 'repentant.'
The case in question relates to an incident that occurred in Hamburg this past February. Four youths sexually assaulted a drunk 14-year-old girl and left her for dead outside in freezing temperatures while a fifth teenager filmed the crime, during which time he shouted out instructions like a film director.
On Thursday, a judge handed down suspended sentences to the underage perpetrators. Only one defendant, who is 21, will see jail time of four years. The relatives of the defendants jumped and shouted with joy in the court as the sentences were read. The state of Hamburg has said it plans to appeal the sentencing.
Similar to the 'women quota', a government anti-discrimination agency wants to create a quota for immigrants for top leadership roles.
The Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency wrote in an evaluation seen by Die Welt that there must be a reform of the country’s Equal Treatment Act, in particular for people from an immigration background.
One of the solutions could be a similar quota system to the controversial one passed by the German parliament last year for women. The so-called ‘women quota’ asks publicly traded companies with employee representation on the board to include 30 percent female directors.
