California Bill Would Punish Stores With Separate Boys And Girls Departments

In an effort to be more inclusive, the Berkeley City Council adopted an ordinance Tuesday to replace gendered language in the city’s municipal code with neutral terms. Personal pronouns like “she,” “he,” “her” and “him” will change to “they” and “them.”“Fireman” or “firewoman” will become “firefighter.”
“Manpower” will be eschewed for “human effort” or “workforce,” while “maintenance hole” will replace “manhole.”
In total, more than two dozen commonly used terms will be changed in the city code after the measure unanimously passed.

Братьев и сестер тоже упразднили.  'Brother'  теперь будет 'sibling', сестра тоже 'sibling'.

Стало быть, 'brotherly love' станет 'sibling's love', a 'братья по оружию' - 'siblings in arms'.

Каина теперь будут спрашивать  "where is your sibling Abel?'

The Wright siblings создали аэроплан, а The Lumière siblings - кино;  
The Barry siblings пели песни, The Strugatsky siblings писали книги, а The Siblings Grimm собирали фольклор и писали сказки.

В литературе же просто красота:

'The Karamazov siblings'
'The Serapion siblings' 
'Three siblings'  (пьеса)
'Sibling Carrie' 
'The  Siblings" (А.Н. Толстой)
The Lautensack siblings'
и т.д.

А лучше всех будет выглядеть на английском название романа Федора Абрамова 'Братья и сестры'.

Странно, что они не догадались просто запретить несовершеннолетним есть в Макдональдсах. Делов-то - приравнять Биг Маки к алкогольным напиткам.
